Hey guys need some 2.3 help

I sold my stang a few months back and I have been sorta looking but not really and a guy I work with has a pristine immaculate 93 4 cylinder car that looks like new.
I have never researched on the cars with this motor but is there any way to make these cars pretty quick? I have seen of course fast ones but for a regular working man with a limited budget can these things be low 13, 12 second cars?
I can get this thing extremely CHEAP so I was just pondering the idea....any suggestions would help thanks guys.

I'd get if I were in your position! It's not often you find a fox in great condition, much less a 2.3L! (or at least in my experience)

Be aware it will need an engine swap to ever be fast (2.3 Turbo being easiest, V8 being the toughest). If you don't mind that fact then pick it up.

IMO I'd pick it up. I used to have a '90 2.3L Mustang (5 speed), it was one of the best daily drivers ever. It was slow but it was a great little car.
