Hey guys, i have a quick question. I wasn't sure where to post this question but i'm throwing out a couple of numbers so i assume it would go in the Tech section. Here's what i need to know:

1) does anyone have the individual gear ratios for a 1993 Mustang LX 5.0. I specifically need the ratios for gears 1-5.

2)I raced a 93 LX last night. Owner of the Stang wanted to go from a highway roll, so we went from a 45mph roll. The owner called me out on a forum to run against my RX-7 claiming that his LX was "As stock as Detroit can make her". Then later come to find out (and i honestly don't know anything about Mustangs here) he has some exhaust mod that apparently gets rid of the cats, and has a full exhaust minus headers. Then i did some fishing and came across a dyno sheet of his where he sprayed a "100 shot", according to him. After i found this out i told him i wanted to race him off the bottle since when he called me out, the premise of the race was his stock LX vs. my stock RX-7
The Stang owners dyno can be found here for reference:
http://home.nc.rr.com/lxative/Stang NA versus N20 with AF.jpg

3)The result of the race went like this: I let the Stang owner honk it off 3 times. We went from a 45 roll. He honks, i go WOT and put half a car on him right off the bat and hold him there untill 115-120mph where he pulls on me slightly. We shut down somewhere around 130mph and he has a 1/4 carlength on me. We come back around to our spot and get out. Now i told him i wanted to race him off the bottle, and he agreed and removed his bottle, however there were about 7 or 8 other Fox body owners there that said he had a Sneaky Pete hidden somewhere in his car.

Here's what i do know for fact:
1)my car went 13.5@105mph bone stock. I had to drive the **** out of it to get it there, and come to find out i had a boost issue. I've since fixed the boost issue and recently raced a friend who owns a 2003 Maxima all motor that went 13.1@107mph. From a 45 roll i put 2 cars on him pretty quickly, and my lead was growing the further we went.
2)my car has a coeffecient of drag of .29. According to my research, the 93 Stang LX notchback has a coeffecient of drag of .39-.40 giving me the aerodynamic advantage.
3)Advertised weight for his 93 LX 2 door coupe is 2775. My RX-7 weighs in at 2780 with half a tank of fuel, minus the spare tire.
4)Stang owner had a 3.08 rear end

Here's what i don't know for fact.
1)LX gear ratios
2)He told me when he ran me all he had was the exhaust mods only. He has two timeslips. 14.3@99 with a 2.2 60' and then 13.7@107mph with a 2.6 60'. So on his second run he gained 6 tenths and 8 mph with a worse 60'? Is it possible for a 1993 LX with just exhaust mods to trap 107?? I'm talking no intake, stock 225 tires and JUST an exhaust.

After our first run, he promptly got out and walked over to my RX-7 claiming it wasn't stock. Prior to the race i wanted it to be known that my car was bone stock so i popped both doors, the hood, the trunk and even showed him my spare tire well as well. I just didn't want to give him any excuses. I'm a straight shooter, especially about my car. I even offered to jack the car up for him to show him the underbody!
So after he mulls under the hood of my car for a few minutes i ask him to put his bottle back in and run me again. He says: "Well, that first run was good enough. I won't run you on the bottle, but we can run a second time." I told him NO and that i wanted to run him on the bottle to see how bad he would "beat me". Then the excuses started flying. We line them up a 2nd time, bump them off and it's door to door to 125mph this time. (We have video which i will post once it's up).

All in all i just left there feeling like he definetly sprayed on me but i figured i would go right to the horse's mouth and ask you guys. Please let me know your opinions and also if someone would be kind enough to give me the specs on the individual gear ratios for the 5 speed 93 LX 5.0, that would be great! TIA!

A 5.0 LX weighs a lot more that that. That's probably the weight of a 2.3L 4-cyl LX. A 5.0 weighs about 3300 pounds.

I can see the 14.3 @99 coming from a stock 5-spd with just exhaust. It's possible. However, 107MPH from a stock headed mustang is near impossible without nitrous. He definitely sprayed that run.

As for gear ratios
1 - 3.35
2 - 1.93
3 - 1.33
4 - 1.0
5 - 0.68

Mike, thanks for the reply! I'm confused about the weight though. According to http://auto.consumerguide.com/auto/used/reviews/full/index.cfm/id/2036
They list the 2 door coupe at 2775, 2834 for the 2 door hatch and 2966 for the 2 door convertible. I can't imagine even a 5.0 2 door coupe weighing more than the convertible if those weights are infact for the 4 cylinder. I'm not splitting hairs, it's just that he was claiming I had a huge weight advantage over him which i didn't think was as bad as he was making it out to seem.
Anyone else think he sprayed on me?

Ha those weights aren't even close to right!

My own '88LX weighed in at 3390 with me when i went to the track. Another friend of mine has a '93 LX 5-spd hatch and he was 3356 pounds or so. That's with drivers in them (160-180 pound)

From expeirence it usually goes something like this roughly

NO drivers in these
3100-3200 pounds for a 5.0 coupe
3150-3250 pounds for an 5.0 LX hatch
3200-3350 pounds for a 5.0 GT hatch
3350+ for 5.0 LX convertible
3400+ for GT convertible

Pre-87 Mustangs are usually lighter. More closer to the 2900-3100 pound mark.

You did have a weight advantage over him.

Yes i'm 100% sure i had a weight advantage over him. He himself had to weigh ~230lbs which should only make it more obvious that he had to spray on me, right? I mean if we go by your numbers, and say:
car:3250 (we'll go with the heavy side)
driver:~230
Total weight: ~3480
So then, a 93 LX with just a catback exhaust weighing in 3480 making supposedly 203RWHP didn't pull on me until the better part of 115-120mph?
