Hey Pakrat

not to be a grump, but the non-tech discussion you guys are having would be better suited for the talk section or PM for that matter.

just because some of you seem to be in a little 'clique' doesn't mean the rules don't apply to you.

You have an uncanny knack for pointing out the obvious, thanks so much big guy. :nice:

Grapes taste sour do they? It's not about clique at all or bucking the rules, that's a pretty lame statement. My god, it's like no body can make a faux pas in this place anymore without every one pointing it out. Sheeeeesh! What F***ing fun we are having now eh?

Sounds like a friendly discussion to me...oh and 302, you did sound a little grumpy with that remark. Chill out, this is a forum for discussion, not strict protocol. The only clique here is Mustanger. If you don't like a post don't join in.

Bottom line is that the question was Tech related, and is may have been informative if the discussion had gone that way. I've stepped into the moderator role at times, but that was for sheer, unadulterated BS talk. As far as a "click" or what have you, put up some more posts, and you can be a "click" too.

Heh heh, yeah right Chepsk8. My offer of assistance is still out there but my extra set of hands have yet to be recruited.

BTW, you don't build a Mach 5, you buy a Mach 5. As cool as I think it is that someone finally built one, for that kind of money I think I'd rather by a pristine Shelby then a Corvette Kit car. Now, had they made it from say a 63ish Vette instead, like I had dreamed of since the 80's, so it had an aunthetic true 60's feal to it inside and out, well then maybe I'd reconsider.

<Being careful not to sound cliqueish>

Pakrat, if that is really your name, the coupe is at my shop right now, I'm changing the front end over to 5 lug and rebuilding the C-4 , but if I get busy it will sit, so you may not see it for a month or so. <reads over thread to make sure it sounds tech related>

Are we having fun yet?? I hope that was tech enough for ya :spot:

Oops, better get back on subject. How's the cowl project going?

To heck with the cowl, who wants to help me with my front clip?

btw----f-in w/ The B-man's cowl is like tuggin on Superman's cape, spitting in the wind, or messing w/ Big Jim!

Front clip is easy, how far away are ya?
I'm on L.I. about 6 miles west of thr Cross Sound Ferry in Orient.
Actually, I'm not replacing the entire clip, just stripping it down, repairing what needs repairing and prepping, POR-15 and painting......I've still got to get the tranny, steering, and misc lines/hoses off first..........

Sorry, didn't recognize the Accent' :D , that picture isn't great but from what i can see it looks pretty solid. Doesn't look like you'll need any help, except maybe money :D
Most of the needed repair is in the front frame forward of the shock towers and around the bumper bracket weld-nuts. I've got replacement sections for that on order from MU, and once they're in I hope to start measuring and cutting......
I'm also replacing the front suspension and steering and while I've got it apart I'm going to do the Shelby drop.

Geez---ALL of this "Tech Talk" is giving me a headache! :rlaugh:
