hey, thinking of a supercharger 4 now????

hey i c powerdyne 4 a good price also vortech, wazz the better 1??? u guys think my stock engine 167,000 miles could hold up 2 da boost???? mods: bbk cai, magnaflows, king cobra clutch kit. n e advice i would greatly appreciate.:SNSign:

first do a compression test. im not sure what numbers to look for, do a search for compression test- there are tons of posts about this.

It depends on how well it has been maintained. Mine blew a ring and it only has 110K on it. I suspect the previous owners drove my poor car like they stole it.

I think Kenne-Bell blowers are the best

They're also tougher on engines...

at 167,000 miles I'd be pretty weary of putting a S/C on without doing a compression check and a leak down test

I'd also be worried about how the T5 would hold up after that many miles...ditto for the rear end.

Stay away from the Powerdyne if possible. That is why there is always good deals on them...because they put a bad deal on the car.

Vortech or Novi is the way to go IMO.

Kenne Bell's are harder on engines and run hotter but make a nice torquey engine.
