I have sporadic internet so the blog went the way of the dinosaurs but here are a few pics of my recent trip too beautiful Camp Shelby. Having problems with my ankle again so its up in the air as to whether or not I'm going to Afghanistan. I'll let ya'll know when I do. If I don't go, I'm still not coming back. I'm on Federal Title 10 orders so I ether stay here or go to another base until my unit comes home. Fun huh? At least its something different but I think I forgot how to drive already...

Nice to see your doing well Jordan. I was in the Corps for 4 years and one of the fondest memories I had were waiting in a long line to do anything!! I can't believe I waited in line for "***** on a shingle." (For anyone who does not know what that is, dog grade like gravy on bread) Tons of salt to kill the moldy taste. Be good and you make us proud!!! "C-130 rollin' down the strip..." Yet another flash back.

Here is the new Army Combat Uniform, its a pixelated gray. I still have the old desert camouflage flak vest, hopefully, I'll get a new one that matches cause you just can't clash like that in the middle of a firefight...

Here is a pic of me cleaning a MaDeuce .50 caliber barrel... Sadly, I didn't get to fire it...

This is our field camp, we got hit by a nasty rainstorm which turned the dirt floors into rivers of mud. It was not a nice way to wake up at 0200ish in the morning...

Good pics Jordan. The one of Mt. Hood really turned out nice. Don't get to see it from that angle too often. Hope it's going alright besides the ankle. When I saw the pic I was hoping you'd come back with a story on how it was to shoot the .50. My brother is going to be looking into a BMG (most likely) .50 cal. They would be fun to shoot.
