so a bunch of people lately have been saying LOST is the best show ever, yadda yadda. well, i dont really watch TV, so ive never seen the show, barely heard of it. so i go rent the first season Episode 1 DVD (which is really like 100 or somthing crazy) and watch the whole thing straight. today i went and got disc 2 of the first season. its crazy. this show is addicting! ive got so many questions, i know im a newb, just starting to watch and everything. i have a few questions now. im too impatient.

1) do they ever reveal why Kate was a fugitive? why?
2) did Locke miraculously start walking again? kinda confused on that.
3) whats wit Jack's dad walkin around?

I have no idea. LOST has my attention because i have no idea where the writers are going with this. I only watch just to try to figure out what the hell was going down.

By the way, i missed the reason that that plane went down. Does anyone know?

you remember the code they had to punch into the computer?

well if you don't punch it in it causes a huge magnetic force to attract all metal objects toward the center of the island. the day the plane went down the code wasn't entered


it was on the season finale so that's all i caught. have they started the new season?

They never explained the black cloud of scary-ness.

Heres my theory (and I've had this since the beginning)... its a mental home. The "others" work there, the characters we know are all mental cases trapped in the place (the island). After all, they're either fugitives or they won the lottery! Its all a mental dudes dream.

I like lost but season 2 was way too slow.

1. Kate killed her father by blowing up his house with him inside (I think was her father).
2. Me too. Don't think they explained that, but Locke says in one episode something to the effect that "it's the power of the island."
3. It's his ghost haunting him. Jack's dad died (that's why he went to Australia to get his bod and bring it home).

I watch it too, especially since it's filmed here. My wife and I like to see the surroundings and try to figure out where they're filming. We stayed at a beach house a few years ago near the area they film on (the beach scenes that is) and where they had the plane shell for the first half of the season or so.

i love lost. I have both DVD set of season 1 and 2.



But i'm aflaid that this show is going to turn another X files.

in X files, you still did't really know anything after 10 years....

i just happend to be flipping channels when lost first started. i watched the 1st episode and i was hooked. the only thing i don't like about the show is that there seems to be commercials every 6 minutes.

Jack Bauer would have discovered the hatch within the first hour, found out how it worked, discovered the others, found out who the villian is, disable the magnet and figure out a way to get all the survivors off the island within 24 hours...all withouth stoping to take a dump
