Hi-Temp rubber hose for exhaust??

It's been brought up in several posts before - and now I am having issues with the smog pump line leading to my O/R H-pipe. I welded my air pump line to the tube on the H-pipe, but now it kinda whistles. I have heard before of some Hi-Temp rubber hose that you can use to connect the air line to the H-pipe. Does anyone know where you can get this stuff?? Auto parts stores around me have no idea what I'm talking about.

I know the easy fix would be to just cap the line off, but I have to put the stock H-pipe on every couple years to pass emissions. Oh well.

Also, what is the diameter of the hose I would need?? - if anyone knows off the top of their head. Thanks!

Ever seen thoes little rubber end pieces on the legs of chairs to keep thel from sliding across the floor? I used thoes and had no problems at all.

I need to know the same thing. Not sure what those legs are but sounds like they are used to cap it all off. I'd rather keep it all intact and flowing.

I need that same hose, my tube rusted out and makes a whistling noise. The tubing is a high temp silicone hose I believe, I think HarryCanary is using it?

Go to a part store that deals with big trucks, construction, semi. Just tell them the size and that you need high temp hose. Its about $8.00 a foot. Ignore them if they say it wont work.... Ive had mine on for over a year with no problem.

My bassani X-pipe came with a high temp rubber hose. Ill get some pics of it if I can.

Heres a pic.

I somehow pulled it loose, looks like I have something to do tomorrow. I just hope the hissing doesnt drive me crazy.
The hose is 3/4" and used two 1-1/4" hose clamps

Thanks STANGMAN and DJHA90! It looks like a silicone/rubber hose from the blue color. If you guys are using it, and it's working ... cool!

I was told that stuff would burn up and fall off. I will go down and try to get some of that hose on Monday and see what happens. I am also hoping that by eliminating the direct metal to metal tube contact, that my exhaust won't randomly squeak. I will reply to this post and let ya'll know how it works or if my car goes up in flames!

Yes, that's what you want (the smog line is 3/4'' od). Another place to try to find them would be exhaust shops.

I used an old length of heater hose I had laying around from my 1st car (66 chevy Caprice). It has been on for 4 years with no problems.
