HID + Projectors and pictures of my new installed HIDs

I just installed 8000k HID's into my Mustang with the stock projectors. My question is that if I had different projectors (let's say the importy H1 and H3 projectors), would my HID's illuminate distances farther than my stock projectors? Pictures are below:

How is visibility now compared to before?.. I know it's better, but how much?

it only seems to shine a few feet farther than before, but much wider. i was just wondering if i could get it to illuminate even farther

Doubt it's much better. The higher the rating after 4300k, the less light output.

Try adjusting the height of the unit to make it shine farther out.

Damn, you spent a lot of money on aesthetics. You could have a blower under your hood by now.

Aestetics are actually my first priority because in my area, there's so many stangs that I look at them like Camrys. They're not so noticeable in my perpective unless I change my outer appearance.

I'd love to have a blower, though I'm not sure if it's safe for me since I'll probably want to use all it's power on the street

All i did was adjust my headlight level higher than its supposed to be and i can see MUCH better now. I would highly recommend it

I personally dont even like the way those bright blue HIDs look, and for the money...no thanks.

Yes exactly...not on a mustang. I dont think they look good on our cars. I dont know why, i just dont think they do. Other cars, yeah i think they look great.

Only way to lengthen the spread without blinding oncoming traffic would be to go with true projectors... many ways you could go about this but changes the look of stock lights.

Projectors give you a very sharp cut off letting you place the beam right below all rear windows. The beam spread is much more uniform and controlled. Saved me from some hardcore road debris a couple of times.

looks like good lighting. i can get H1/H3 projectors but can I just buy their bulbs with using my existing 9007 HID setup? or do i also have to get a brand new igniter and ballast i got with this HID kit?

looks great! I got my Kaixen kit for $300, looks just like that, and im using the stock projectors too. I think its fine and im not spending the extra money on the different housings.

Hmm, im not too sure but it seem that it wouldn't work...

The bulb bases are different so the H1/H3's bulb to projector would line up but im not sure about the igniter to the bulb. You could email the vendor to see if there products are interchangable as the same ballast/ignitor connects to all of their bulbs. If so, then all you would need it the new bulbs and retrofiting the projectors into your housing, which can be a consuming task on its own.
