Very nice and clean. Makes the engine bay look so much more wrench friendly, especially with that battery out of there. Did you have to extend any of the wires to reach or will they all reach with the proper re-routing. And where in front of the radiator, up top or lower? Or could I just put mine underneath the stock black radiator cover.

The harness runs in front of the radiator on the bottom of the radiator support. Ill try to get more pictures tomorrow. As far as extending wires, only the pass side headlight, corner light and fan wires had to be extended, everything else fit. For the overflow, I bought a 10" stainless resivoir and mounted it between the radiator and frame on the drivers side. I did take the power steering out but all that required was mounting the coil in a different place and running a shorter belt with a stock waterpump pulley. Like I said, Ill get some more pictures in the morning, I lost about 6 months worth of pictures that included all the under construction pics showing how all the wires were run and all that.

what do you mean that's all it required to take out the ps? like, did you get a bigger gear or a manual steering rack or something? could you expand a little on this- thanks? just looks so clean and good

also, a bunch of guys just took off the black cover that goes over the headlights back to right over the radiator and ends before the reservoir. is it just taken out for the pics or is there really no point to it and it can be removed? just looks like a cosmetic cover to me

I still have the factory PS rack, but no pump. The lines and PS cooler are gone as well. Finding the right belt size was tricky because I had overdrive pullies. I went thru about 10 belt sizes and swapping pullies until I found a combo that worked.

That cover is just cosmetic, it covers up some AC lines and the hose that goes from the radiator to the overflow bottle.

o k, so is steering like really difficult for you... mine's a dd (daily driver) but i would like to do that if it doesn't affect too much

Hiding the wires and smoothing out the fenders was one of the most time consuming jobs I've done yet. I think I have more hours into those fiberglass inner fenders than puttin the motor together. Go figure.

that fiberglass my friend, and the first time i had ever worked with it i might ad. up close you can see the imperfection but when i redo the block this winter, i'm gonna go back and use sheetmetal like zach is doing right now. I had seen the sheetmetal done before and wanted to try something different.

Why did you go with fiberglass in the first place? I would think that'd require a lot of prep work before it was smooth. Looks nice though. Whenever you go to do the sheet metal, just be careful when welding it in. Turn the welder down low, and just put a tach every inch or so all the way around, then go back and put a tach inbetween the ones you allready did and do on until its all welded up. You wont be able to weld normal since the sheet metal and the metal used for the fenders is so thin.

Yeah it takes a little more effort to turn the car at low speeds, but if youre going more than 10mph, its no big deal at all. Sometimes parking in a confined space can suck, but I just think of it as my way of not having to go to the gym

And yeah, the oil breather tube goes from the oil filler tube to the Fox tb.

I just wanted to do something different. I went out trying it to see if it worked. I knew the sheetmetal worked, but I didn't know about fiberglass. I kinda figured that I would have to put it on low, but thanks for the knowledge. I need all of it I can get.

Thats how I ran mine too Dave. Actually, ours is ran the same because I copied all of your steps and pictures. Only, since i have the fenders molded, I'm using the bottom plate where the air box use to be like a shelf and thats where my ccrm is.

You dont have any of my old pictures saved do you? I lost about 6 months of pictures, including the wire hiding pics.
