Does anyone here know of a way to fix the multifunction stalk so that when you pull the stalk towards you all the way, it doesn't just lock into the high beam mode?

I noticed that if I have to flash the high beams, I accidentally hit it so that it doesn't flash, but instead just locks to the high beams. I've never owned a car that did this, it was always pull the stalk towards you to flash, push it away to lock into the high beam mode.

Did Ford fix this for the 2010 Stangs?

One of a few things on these cars that is truly bassackwards....

And considering ford was/is in trouble I'd imagine they recycled every bit from the old mustang they could.
