High flow cats???

I just got an O/R UPR X-pipe and I want to throw some high flow cats on it. What would be a nice cheap high flow cat that fits? I know it defeats the purpose of getting an offroad x but I want to be able to put a nice catback on and not worrie about a cops pulling me over for loud exhaust and looking under my car for cats.. Aslo I want to be able to take my car in for warrenty issues and not worrie about them saying no, discovering I have no cats.

they will hassle you for having the high flow cats. technically high flow cats are not legal anywhere in the US. only OEM cats are legal, however some states choose to not enforce it.

I'm sure there's high-flow cats out there that are legal. I was once told by a exhaust shop that theres no such thing as a high-flow cat, the bigger the cat, the better the flow.

you would have to check with CARB for any legal ones. for 1996+ cars they usually require OEM or an OEM quality aftermarket cat, i know in CA we do.

I dont care about inspection. I just want cats so if somone looks under my car it has cats. So its legal. A cop isnt gonna test my emissions he will see no cats tho, know what I mean???

I have a catted Magnaflow X-Pipe and it has passed the sniffer test and lower NY has some stringent emmisions laws. So there is no way Magnaflow catted x-pipes it can be illegal, not in NY at least.

So the upr tubing is 2.5" like the rest of the stock exhaust right??

Stock exhaust is 2 1/4", not 2.5".
