had a regular pump on, car ran pretty cool, dripped a little, so I decided to put on a HV pump while I was replacing gasket, now the thing overheats, part # on the box says its a reverse rotation pump. So IDK any ideas what problem is?
what year is the car? is it supposed to have a reverse rotation pump? if so and it's doing this you might be cavitating the water. if not, you have the wrong rotation and you will need to change the pump.
