i recently had 4.10 gears installed and the other day i got on it to see how they felt and for some reason my car never shifted out of 1st and kept revving past redline i got off of it real fast, it never has done that prior to the gear install what can i do to fix this, thanks for the help

Since you didnt get a chip your speedo, shift points, and miles will be off. You should get a programmer asap. I recommend the diablo programmer or superchip programmer. I went with the superchip one, but I was looking at the diablo the other day and wish I went with that one. The diablo one has more options then the superchip.

sorry for bringing this back up, but i dont really have the money at the moment to get a chip or programmer, but the gear reflash from T&J's im just wondering how that works, do i send my computer to him? will it fix my shift points? thanks for all the help so far :nice:

My friends auto has 4.10's in it and he hits the rev limiter all the time. He hasn't had it calibrated yet cause he is waiting for a chip. Anyways the only time it hits it is when he stomps on it, but once it hits the limiter, it shifts real hard and snaps your head back and spins the wheels. Kinda fun. I don't think it will really do any damage if you're not doing it all the time.

yep thats the idea , he will take good care of you just make sure you tell him to put some timing in that thing and add some fuel also and adjust the shift points for ya .

2000 TorchRed GT (auto)

~magnaflow catback
~magnaflow x-pipe
~steeda timing adjuster
~steeda underdrive pullies
~motive gear 4.10

Your GT is Performance Red(ES) or Laser Red(E9), not Torch Red(D3), which was not available in 2000.
Just so you know.
