So I'm getting a new short throw shifter, and I CAN NOT decided between these two, as to which I would want to get. I do have a few questions though. Ok first up

The Steeda Tri-Ax
View attachment 514358
This shifter is for the TR 3650. First off, I've never really heard of this transmission referred to as TR, but it says it will work for my GT. Fine. But does this shifter look a bit TALL to anyone?

To those of you that have this shifter: How is this actuall hieght of the shifter? Is it taller or shorter than the stock shifter? Or the same hieght?

Is this the shifter
I hear the Tri-ax is hard to break in, but nice after you do...

The MGW Shifter

I know all of you will tell me to get this shifter now
I have already read up a lot on this shifter, and the concensus is that its amazing. I already have the MGW shift knob, but I am worried about the hieght of this shifter as well. I would like to get the blue handle for short short short throws But how "short" (height wise) is this shifter? Do you really have to stretch to get to this thing?

I'm really not liking how they make you pay another $30 for the other handle, I was hoping they would both come with the product.

What are your opinions with both? And please don't anyone tell me to get hte Pro 5.0, i dont like how "up and down" that shifter is, I need some curve to it to make it more comfortable and easy to grab.

Flip a coin.

The only thing thats bad about the Tri-ax is the noise. Other than that its a good shifter. The best thing about the MGW is the 360 adjustability. Reach is good with the MGW but I have the red handle not the blue. The MGW is much more quiet too.

I have the blue. It's not bad. I can still reach 5th sitting back in the seat with a little trouble.

Well you already got it.. But anyway I go the red handle and it's about perfect. I actually think the blue would make it a little to short. I would suggest to anybody else order both handles it's a 5min switch at most that way you can decide which really fits you.

get the mgw and be done with it. I am not a tall person nor do I have long arms and I have no problems what so ever reaching my mgw. I have driven with the steeda triax and its taller than the mgw but if you were to set and compare both side by side int he car, shift with them, you would get out and say where do I get the mgw shifter at?
