Hokay... What did you guys pay to have LTs installed?

I have a chance to buy some LTs cheap for my GT but Im wondering first what will it cost to have them swap out the stock manifolds and install the LTs. I did a search but came up with little info so Im just asking what you guys spent.

I got a few quotes and it was gonna be around 350-400 for the install. So I went ahead and did them with a couple buddies of mine, not fun.

400 seems on the low side..but again I live in Northern cal...I got quotes around 1K... takes time..at $100/hour...do the maths..

yeah, the last shop I asked quoted me $75 an hour and said it would take around 4(ish) hours. Was that $1000 including the headers? If so, that would seem not too far off, but if it didn't If you did end up doing them yourself, you could say you saved yourself 1000 bucks Happy new year!

I paid $ 300 for mine. Took about 8 hours to install. The installation is a real PITA.

Well at first I went to local muffler shop and ask them about the header installation. They said right away that they would not do it.. So, I decided to install it with my dad... not hard at all IMO

Mine will probably be 150-200......The guy i'm getting mine done at is real cool and his whole family owns stangs so hes hookin me up on installs. Torque converter install is going to be 120.

I had quotes from 300-400 dollars. I wouldn't pay more then 400 dollars for it. Its worth the money honestly, it one of those things you do to your car and you feel it when you open it up. So you in other words, you won't feel bad for spending all that money.

O if you can pick up the BBK LTs. I have the mac's and i didn't like the way they are made. The mac aren't even really Long Tubes they are more like Mid length. The BBK and SLP have real LTs.

Really, you sure you have MAC Longtubes? My collectors are UNDER the car, Infact I had to just about remove the passanger header when swapping tranny's last week. In your mind, how far under the car is a longtube header supposed to go back?

BTW, I asisted with a friend and gave him $75.
