what size is the hole in the stock TB?? i'm having some pretty bad idle issues, especially with the AC on, and i want to try drilling a hole in the TB to see if it helps any.

I actually have my TB and plenum off the car right now.. Today I noticed that my TB does NOT have a hole in the plate. It is the stock TB..

i heard you were supposed to locate the BOV/Bypass as close to the SC (or turbo) as you could get iti have just changed my IC setup. it has a tial 50MM BOV about 6" from the outlet of the IC and about 12" down from the MAF. it does have a blow thru MAF and the idle hasnt been great since the tune but it is now a LOT worse than it was before. when it was tuned they said the IAC was maxed out and couldnt pullany more air into the engine.
Posts like this and the general stuipidity in this thread overall are why I have written off 4.6 tech hereI drilled the hole to big though, and then restricted my IAC to counteract. AC off it still idles @ 1000-1100 and AC on it idles @ 800ish (normal). On cold starts it will die if I turn on the AC, so its annoying.
Im going to have to buy a new TB, but for now ill live with it.
I drilled the hole, the size of the heads of the screws that hold the blade on.....the stockers hole was the same size as the head of the screws, so I just copied. But apparently the stock TB had smaller screws LOL.
