Hole?

Plates are not required when doing the Shelby mod. The plates are primarily jigs to help locate the holes.

You can use a paper template to mark it or you can measure 1" down from the lower holes and then either 1/8" forward (or to the rear, depending on the side of the car.)

Go ahead and have the hole wielded, but first make sure that there isn't any other reason to doubt the strenght of the shock tower.

My BAD, As mentioned by the other poster's, the holes get relocated to the rear.
