First of, I only see them advertised for the years 1986-93. Why is this?? Can us 94 & 95 people use this system?? This seems like a good deal considering that afr heads alone go for $1,300. I know those heads are god to a lot of people but the holley package is about $700 more and you get aluminum heads, cam, intake manifold, pushrods, roller timing chain, and ARP head bolts. I would think if you are doing your own afr combo it would cost a lot more than the holley package for about the same results . Or am I wrong?? I know in their ad they state that they recommend some other stuff to get the best out of the package, but I would think you'd do the same if you are putting your own combo together.

Is there any 94-95 guys running this system and if so, how do you/they like it??? Thanks.

Should work. I would think that the main issue would be the intake elbow adapter, which you could purchase seperatly. Other than that, i don't see why it wouldn't work.

Have you looked at the new trickflow kits as well? Page through a summit catelog if you've got one. Costs about the same i believe.

Holy cow! Thanks RiceEating5.0.! I didn't know that trick flow had a kit. Just checked it out and it seems like a better deal than the Holley kit. It seems you get more (gasket kit and 10 hp) with trick flow for about $100 less than holley. They state these are for years 86-95. I shold've titled this thread as Trick Flow Kit Qs. Are there any other companies that have matched kits like these that I don't know about?

I had a Systemax II intake on my last 94 GT.. worked fine. Although some on this site say its a waste of intake w/ stock heads and cam. Oh well... I just popped in here to say it does work.

The cam that comes with the Systemax kit is on the small side. It would be an excellent kit if you bought a bigger cam to take advantage of that intake and the flow numbers of the heads.

Hey Joe,

I was looking at the specs, and the twisted flow cam and the holley cam are very similar to eachother. The Holley is actually a bit bigger in duration and lift. If I used either one of these cams with my 1.72 ratio rockers, would this allow the heads to flow much better? I wonder if I would run into valve/piston clearance issues, since the cam are for 1.6 rockers.

I may be in a pipe dream now, but come this summer when the summer work starts to begin: I'm giving it serious thought.
