The trickflow kit has it all good gaskets and valve covers and you can pick the intake to go with it. Im going straight for AFR's for my 331 otherwise id order the trickflow kit.

I've read from numerous sources that the Holley heads will burn oil due to guides being worn from valvetrain geometry

Plus I've heard their intake weighs a ton

lol oh sorry i was thinkin u meant with the kit in. my bad man. yea i hit a 14.82 spinning all the way thru first. when i was driving home on the freeway all my damn timeslips blew out the window with my $10bill and my ticket! . but i was very dissapointed with my times. i think it was 14.82 @95.__. but my 60 foot times were ugly! im going to the track once more before i do the HCI install. hopefully ill do some suspension too while the car is out of service.

I'm not sure what kit you're all taking about. The only "kits" offered on their website are for Chevrolet. Great idea though. It would help having to do the whole piston to valve clearance check if they offered some sort of package and knew exactly what years it were a bolt on for.

Look in the new summit... it's not in the 5.0/4.6 section though, it's in the middle of the bood

My dad runs the kit on his 91GT. His car ran 13.6 at 99mph. We added the kit with the "old" holley cam (they have revised it, plus it is available to the best of my knowledge with an emissions legal cam now) and it ran a 12.6 at 107mph. He then had an FTI cam installed, and had Ed clean up the heads and intake. Best time to date far has been a 11.95 at 115mph at 3350lbs. All in all its a decent kit, and he's had it for over 3years and hasn't had any valvetrain issues. There was porblems when brodix was doing the heads for holley, but when they switched to using AFR, the problems went away as far as I know. Rick91GT also ran this kit.

Right on Paul...

The head issues are very old news so many things have changed over the last 4-5 years since it came out, the cam has been revised a few different times and there is a 50 state EMISSONS legal cam available.

Out of the box kit with bad heads went 12.6 @ 108.

The holley kit with a AFM cam yeilded me 11.8's @ 116mph NA with a 8.8:1comp 302, stock bottom end, car weighed 3300pounds, all times on 26" x 11.5" ET STREETS. I think the car would have went 50's @118 with some 4:30's that the cam was ground for.

Can you build packages to make more power, yes but it is a nice complete kit that yeilds very good results.

Aren't Trickflow heads proprietary in that you have to use all trickflow components?

Nope...

You do need a piston made for the Twisted valve if you go to a large cam...
