Hello everyone, I’m currently working on converting my 96 Mustang GT from stock PCM to a Holley terminator X and I decided I’d be a cool kid and use the Holley 4.6 kit instead of MFKustoms plug and play kit (I like to stress myself apparently) anyways.

I’ve got the engine harness on and everything routed. I’ve depinned and removed the factory engine harness plug and PCM plug and kept fan relay outputs, fuel pump relay outputs/ground, and the 3 connectors that are attached to pcm harness so here’s my issue,

the CCRM has power coming in from the power wires but when I ground the pcm wire sides to activate the relay nothing happens, doesn’t matter if I ground fan high/low or the fuel pump output from the depinned PCM connector wire nothing happens. HOWEVER don’t flame me but if I send power on say the fuel pump relay output wire it will turn every relay in the CCRM on so I’m certain I have the correct wires just not sure why if CCRM has power why it won’t close the relays when I ground.

I hope that all made sense and hopefully someone on here was silly like me and did it the hard way. My next step was just delete the CCRM and make my own relay setup.

Do note I am using a power probe to power/ground directly from the battery

I figured it out. All my hots at the ccrm connector had power except R/LG(Pin 13) even with key on as it’s a hot in start/run. (My understanding is this is return signal from pcm to ccrm to tell the ccrm the pcm is on) Ran jumper wire to R/LG at PCM connector side, CCRM activates all relays, ground DB (pin 14, low fan control input) fans turn off. Ground fuel pump wire, fuel pump turns on, ground LG/P low fan turns on. Fixed hopefully this will help someone else in the future

Just came across this as I am going to run a stand alone Holley Terminator. I am looking to eliminate the ECU and CCRM, what would need to be done to eliminate the CCRM? I'm looking for a schematic for the Pins you referenced.

I have attached a pinout for the CCRM, it’s basically a relay box if you didn’t know already, all you gotta do is just build a few new relays to recreate the CCRM functions but using a ground activated method to work with Holley. Essentially what I did was make 2 relays to utilize the CCRM which was a waste of time but it works for now.

Also one other thing, I’d recommend finding a PCM connector pinout kinda like this CCRM, and go through and figure out what wires you wanna keep and what you don’t need and eliminating them from the harness, that’s what I did and it looks way cleaner and all the wires basically run the stretch from the kick panel to where the CCRM is in the headlight.

I deleted the CCRM and let the Holley control separate relays for a/c, fuel pump, low and high fan.

This is definitely the way to go, I just didn’t think to do that while I did mine, once I need to get back in my fender liner I’ll redo it all and delete the CCRM
