When I somehow came across this 3 days ago and the price was at $700 my jaw dropped!! Can't believe the ending bid!!

I guess Mugen is like THEE brand to have with imports, and it's actually not a bad looking steering wheel aside from those 2 beedy little eyes, but GOOD LORD, it's a fricking steering wheel. It's like Versace for ricers!

I can only imagine what guys like that would pay for a CAI and/or an exhaust. People far too often have way more money than brains (or good taste)...

My buddy had a $900 Bride seat in his Civic... yes one seat.

He's growing out of the Honda thing thank God, he's had a couple of better performace cars since, he even owned a fox for a week and liked it.

A bit silly for sure but as said earlier Bride,Mugen and stuff are top notch for JDM scene. It is a nice steering wheel but id never pay that much for any steering wheel.

It seems like any car nice enough to be worthy of a 1200$ steering wheel should never have had the factory steering wheel removed to begin with...

I had Bride Zetta III's in my '05 STi and paid around $900 for each seat. The Bride's are the best racing seat on the market today and I have considered using them in my Mustang. If it works, and works great, why not use it?

And that Mugen crap is expensive and not worth the money IMO when you consider like products from different manufactures.

There's a premium because of the market, the brand, and the rarity of that thing. It's past ricer fanboyism. Kind of like finding new-in-box 1980s saleen specific stuff or something for the purist. Plus, where else are you getting something of that age in that condition.

Same reason why people pay upwards of 10k for a foxbody.

Just because you or I won't pay it, doesn't mean someone else won't. No need to call them idiots. IIRC someone was selling **** black interior for $2300. Seems we have our morons too.

For a little while I was conviced I could make an import go fast! I bough a RX-7 2+2. It was a 1990 in Winning Silver. It was a hot car, always got compliments on how nice it was. No body kit or wing. Just the Turbo II front air dam and some OZ F1 Cups in 17" with Pirelli P-Zeros. Well since most stuff had to be overnighted from Japan JK but it was all imported crap, it took me $16000 to make .... drum roll please ...... 202 rwhp The car handled like it was on rails but without a Turbo that Rotary just wouldnt make good street power. I sold it the same day a stock CRV beat me Bought a Vette and spent $1000 on a intake/cat back/chip set from LPE and called it a day

Moral of the story is yes they will pay for the authentic JDM crap. These kids will spend $20000 on a new Cive then drop another $20000 to get the JDM bumpers and crap. Looks almost identical and now it makes 10 more hp.... wopty freakin doo!
