Home made Caltracs (Dustracs) are done

I finished my Dustracs yesterday. I have a little over a hundred dollars in them. Mostly because of the 20 dollar drill bit I had to buy and the welding I had to farm out. They seem to work awsome so far. I put the car down and gave the bars a slight preload to them and when to goof off. It seemed to completely cure the problem I was having before. Everytime I jumped on it before in first, the tires would come loose ( thank you AFR ). I would ease off till they hook and then shift and there they went again. But all of that is gone with no real adjustment. Now to go to the track and revel at my new 60 ft. times. I'm glad I built them myself now that I did. They are built for my car. John may have built a good set of bars, but I needed something a little different. They were very painstakinlgy nerve wrecking to build. It's not as easy as the directions say on the website.

P.S. Don't follow the directions to the "T". They can cost you time and money and make you think these bars don't work.

Alright. I have to radius and few corners and paint,then they will be pretty. But Ok

We'll see. I'm more of the look good later go fast now. And it would kinda defeat the purpose of being cheap and doing them myself. But like I said, we'll see. I may want to if they work as good as I think they will. I hit 1.900 on nitto 245/50/16. I want to go to the track and change nothing but the bars to see the difference. I'll try to post pics tomorrow.

And 12sec67 I said I gotta test these bad boys first. Keep it up and you'll stay in the 12 sec. range without the SSM's
