Homemade CAI

up's its cheaper, down's sometimes it doesnt look that good.

Go to home depot or lowes, get some 3" PVC pipe, and two 3" rubber Fernco pieces. Take off your filter and mass air meter, bolt the filter to the meeter, attach the meter to the PCV pipe with the Fernco piece, drill a hole for the air temp sensor, then put the other fernco piece on the other end to hold it to the TB.

Here's a few pics of mine...

Thread it in the hole to position it in the airflow like so....

I used Fusion paint and didn't like the results....I then wrapped it in vinyl decal stuff and it looks much better....

for the fender.... a metal sawsall blade. cut form the big hole to the small hole... then roll the meltal up and down accordingly. you can use a sheet of metal to cover this hoel , leave it open, or use a mud flap like he did.

mudflap will be easiest to cut

the paint on mine looks badass

i used TESTORS paint made for plastic models

color is "metalic silver" then hit it with the glosscoat. do light coats every 30 minutes. not a full coatto completely soak it in color, but a light coat of dots. and they will eventually fill in and give you a run free finish. there is a trick to painting models and trim pieces and thats pretty much it. make it a day project and jjust go out during a comercial break and give it a coat.

Any more info on this hole that needs cut? Check out this pic of the fenderwell that needs cut. I've put 4 different colored lines on there that are possible cut locations. Which one is preferred? Maybe 2 cuts, like orange and green and then roll orange?
