Gonna do a swap into a 99-04 stang, but I'm using a fast management system under a Mach 1 hood. Anyone have any advice?

I think it will be close, depends on what intake you are using.

Custom fab for the shaker Mach hood. I went to school to build jets so I know a lot about carbon fiber and fiber glass molding etc. I was gonna fabricate it myself. The throttle body faces straight up like a carb, but it sits way lower. So the intake is just gonna be a funnel type upwards towards the shaker. I haven't met anyone who has ever done it.

Nice! Im doing the swap myself soon, but I like the custom idea. You should post pics and make this a build thread Im interested to see the outcome!

I def will. I haven't seen anyone try it and I'm thinking it will fit. Only issue is the fast management system is $4700 alone, but it takes so many issues away and hopefully allows me to run the shaker hood. With costs all added up and with the cons and pros in the air......I think it's all very well worth it.

What are you going to do for an air filter?

I'm gonna try using a square shaped filter that sits directly under the shaker of the Mach 1 hood and under of course will be the fast throttle body....it looks like a carb, but a lil smaller and faces straight up. What's gonna hold the filter in place is a custom cone type intake that I'll fabricate myself since I have knowledge working with fiberglass and carbon fiber. The hood will seal it off from above and when raised, the filter will just be right there on top.

I've seen those throttle bodies before and was thinking of using that setup because it's symmetrical. I like the carb look with the functionality of FI.

That's a good idea for the filter. It would be nice to see a hood scoop that is functional lol.
