Hood Insulation?

Can anyone tell me where i can get the insulation for under my hood for cheap?
i swear it was only 60 bucks before on 50resto and now its almost 90..im not paying that...help?

Why do you want that stuff on there. It is really suposed to put out fire, but doesn't do a good job, I can tell you that. I am sure junk yards have tons of hoods with that stuff on it. I am sure if you went to the classifieds and put a "want to buy" on there someone would cut you a deal.

You really dont need that stuff. It is only for sound insulation. I dont believe it was actually designed to put out fires, but that is a rumor that goes around.

Just chuck the stuff, unless you are concerned about the looks of the bare underside of the hood. Otherwise, hit the junkyard and see if you can find a low mileage car with nice insulation under the hood yet.
