For a short period of time my car had the flush style hood pins with the barrell type (pop machine) lock.
They really only engaged about 1/4 turn.
My car does not have the factory hood latch so I was not comfortable with this set-up.
I am currently running the old style studs/pins with the flip over retainer.
I like the look of a flush style better but I do not trust them.
Another consideration is using any type of "locking" mechanism on your hood.
IMHO I would not go this route. I have these nightmares of trying to open my hood to extinguish a small fire and not being ale to do so

i guess it's the cutouts or something on the others, they make think of the Reactor car and all those fender bolts.
hmmm, looks suspiciouly like the ring brothers hood pins. actually i kinda like the lockable kind though. these are different than the normal rinky dink looking locakble pin kits, it uses the same locks but the pin bezels are really cool
Unless you've got other billet doo-dads bolted onto the outside of your car, those pins are going to stick out like sore thumbs. They look nice but not something I'd put on a hood. Maybe if they were flush mounted.
Love the use of 400K graphic images for a "website", which are out-of-scale, unless the scuff plates really are oblong-shaped.
