Hood Question

Does any one sell something that i can put on my hood so it stay open when i open it, instead of using that annoying ass stick to keep it up?

I bought a set but when I read the instructions I had to drill two 1 inch holes on each side of the hood (underneath) to gain access to bolt the bracket on. I decided against it and sold the kit.

i dont understand. did you have to drill a hole all the way to the top of the hood?
