hood scoop difference

I have put a hood scoop on my 99GT.
Is there a difference between a 35th anniv.
hood scoop, or (2000).. and a 01-03???
My scoop fits ok, but it's not exactly perfect.
The two outer flares on each side in the front
don't lie perfectly flat. HELP!

I don't think there is any difference but they can be a PITA to get flat to the hood forward of and around the honeycomb grill. I took mine off to paint the Hood scoop flat black and had all kinds of grief getting it back on flat. It seems to ride on the grill part not allowing it to lay flat. I played with it and finally got it to lay flat.

the 35th scoop is shorter than the 01+ scoops.

I bought an 01+ scoop for my 99 GT as well, I've been told if you drill toward the CENTER of the hood for the 2 front pegs the scoop will lie flush. I haven't been able to try it yet, I don't have a drill at school. It makes sense to me, since the pegs are angled.
