got this when I was in Hawaii from latamud (classics)

going to start fiberglassing it this weekend to smooth it out. I know it isn't a good picture But there will be more during the installation of it.

can you rivet it and sand the rivets down as well as the fiberglass? i was also thinking about the fiberglass to metal warping or cracking.

I can't for the life of me figure out why you would want to put that on your car.

I can't see why people put ground effects on notches but it happens.

I am going to go with a svo cobra r hood but I don't have the cash since I just bought a 351W. So this will keep me entertained for a bit. and if it doesn't turn out then I can get the other hood even faster.

This is what I have done in the past with no issues whatsoever. I didn't sand the rivets down though. Just recessed them a little and blended them in.

I don't know. It looks like it but it didn't come off a hood or anything. It came just like that. Still gotta a lot of shaping and trimming to do to make it right.

Guy on ebay sells them. Like you said, you can rivet it down recessed. And then cover it with a few layers on fiberglass matt on the edges to blend it together. Don't use bondo, it will crack. It looks mean in the rear view, so I've been told. I think it will fit on your car better than mine. I had to flex the scoop to get it to sit right on my hood. If it sits on your hood that flush it should be smoother. It was a lot of sanding to get the edges right.

Nope it's still there. Looks great on a T/A or Camaro! Looks like a couple of butt cheaks sticking out of the hood on a mustang.

OMG! you are right... I won't put it on... infact, what color should I paint my car? I want it to look just like everyone elses and I would hate to use a GM color (like no one has).

I can hear the remark coming now "go grow a mullet and buy a camaro" right? thanks again, I'll keep my car the way I want it.
I still appreciate the criticism though.

Ha, that was funny, it made me laugh for the first time today. I think you should paint your car Fararri Red, yeah, that would be cool.

Just my opinion, will probably look better on your car than on the oldie. I have a Saleen wing on my notch and that isn't the popular choice but most days I think it looks mean, others I want to tear it off. It is the only notch with a Saleen wing around me, or notch period for that matter that I have seen. So I guess I feel ya on this one, but I would definetly try and find a picture of a car just like yours before you start riveting and glassing that thing on, just to save you the trouble in case you think it looks like a couple of butt cheeks sticking out of the hood when you are done! Good luck.
