HOOD SCOOP??

Hey guys i put a svo hood on my stang and opened up the scoop to let engine compartment air vent out. I also just thought it looked cool that way. But my question is, with the distributor right there, what should i do about the rain? I guess i could use a scoop plug, but i think that would look kinda stupid. Has anyone else ran into this?

Get one of the distributor boots

You will need to run a boot on the cap / wires. The TFI module was designed to get wet. Why else would Ford have put it right there in the path of the fan and any water sucked into it? Although, heavy downpours of water are probably not a good idea. You might need to get some mesh for the opening's to break up the larger droplets of water.

i was planning on eventually getting a stock fiberglass hood and molding in either an svo or 82 GT scoop, i think they both look badass on a GT or LX5.0
