Hoods

Well something bounced off my hood the other day and took some paint off so it needs to be painted...but I was thinking of a meaner looking hood anyways...so I was wondering who sells the best quality hoods that are light weight too.

I saw a carbon fiber hood on ebay that I liked a lot.

How do the hood pins work, are they easy to install without messing things up?

The one on ebay had a cowl heat extractor, maybe like 3"? and the 96 cobra style intake scoops on either side of that.

Fiberglass hoods don't require hood pins, just carbon fiber right?

Cervinis has high quality hoods...And a few guys I know have ABCexclusive hoods and they looked real good too...I've heard to stay away from Cincinatti Composites though...

I'd use hood pins on fiberglass too, just because they are a lot lighter than the stock ones and could fly up easier...

I had a fiberglass hood on my 89 GT and the bodyshop installed the hardware from my original hood so it would close and stay closed without the use of hood pins. It worked just like the stock hood.
