Hey guys, I finally hooked up my vac/boost gauge and oil pressure gauge on my A-pillar. The boost gauge works fine but the oil pressure gauge isnt so great. I used the same wire to run to the oil sender as I did to ground and hook up my lights. Lights work on both gauges also. What do you think happened? Is there a special wire I need to run to the new sending unit?

Also, whats normal vacuum at idle? The gauge stay at "16" on the vac side, does this sound correct? Thanks

Dave

Oh yeah, I fixed my own problem. I hooked everything up and wired it all up thought I was the best thing on earth. Then I start it up to find the oil pressure gauge isnt working, so I come in here and post the question. So I think about it some more, and realize....I didnt run a damn power wire for the gauge. HAHA so I fixed my own problem, but does anyone know the Vacuum question? Thanks

Dave

whoa, did my dad post on this thread too - im certainly not 'sir.' LOL.

no problem - enjoy the new gauges. as you will see on the other thread, ive recommended a temp gauge for ya too. LOL. you can get a voltmeter or oil temp gauge, etc to complete the quad-fecta [sic] of gauges.
