I got tired of my wife complaining of all the (what she calls) crap in the living room. So I moved it all out to the garage.

so now I have an older pioneer reciever, two 10' infinity towers, klh surround, two 12" infinity perfect subs (going into car eventually).

plus an old P3 667 mhz desktop that has some issues. So I can play mp3's and dvd's and crap while I am supposedly working on my car.

I need to go up to office max and see if I can find a PCI wireless networking card. Then I will have DSL in the garage to.

I should of hooked it up weeks ago. The reciever and speakers have just been sitting unused because our living room is small. They are about ten years old anyways. Now I just need to move a bunch of other crap around so I can fit my car in.

sweet, i used to have a litle boom box thing on the floor in the garage for some music. we just have a 2-car garage, and i wanted max room for my gt, so i moved our svo as close as i could towards the cabinets/wall.

well unfortunately i moved a little too close and ran it over with the car i took it out and now it just plays the radio in the bathroom, suprised it even works.

how big is your garage? if i had/made that much room in ours, i would probably live out there.

Its only a single car garage. 14x25 at the most.

but there is shelving that makes the computer desk flush and not stick out. It will be pretty tight with the car in there. But I should be able to walk around the car.

hopefully my wife does not try to put any more crap out there. I have already made 6 trips to the good will.

It is hooked up better than my living room. but that is because our entertainment center and television both broke during the last move. so we have a 15" tv sitting on a stand. we decided to stop watching tv, so It does not really matter.

The bad thing about having a computer in the garage is the abundance of heavy, hand weilded, tools that can be beaten against the POS when it decidedes to start acting gay.

anyone care to explain why my video card would decide to stop working after installing a wireless networking card?

It seems to work in 16bit with lower resolution. but as soon as I put it in 256 800x600 the screen goes black (not off black)

I have taken to mashing the keys with a screw driver.
