I have a buddy that is thinking of hooker aero chamber mufflers how do these sound on a stock mustang, I heard that they sound like a truck.

Not exactly the same, but I have one on my '98 Z28. With the stock manifolds and cats it sounded very nice, mellow, low tone.

Now I have headers & off road Y, it is a bit raspy, but doesn't sound like a truck by any means...

My dad bought the Hooker Max Flows (not chambered but straight through) and they are QUIET! I mean nothing like his Macs were, Id say about as loud as a Super Turbo. Actually amazingly quiet for the design!

I had Hooker Aerochambers on my car (haven't changed sig...got 2 chamber flows now)...I wish I wouldn't had wasted my money on those Flows...the Hookers sound really good IMO...and flowed better (felt that way to me)...you can look through one end of the muffler and see thru to the other side...

Nice aggresive tone...

I've heard they get the most HP against any other muffler. Hooker does make some badass headers so I'd say there pretty good.

But never heard them before. LOL

My dad has them on his 72 mach 1, long tubes 2 1/4 exhaust, its pretty loud and fairly raspy.

They arent the best flowing muffler you can get but they are up there with magnaflows, borlas, bassani, and SLP.

Besides who cares what they flow, they will all be within 5 or 6 hp of each other, its just sound preference.
