Hooking up tach?

can someone please tell me where to hook up the coil wire for an autometer tach? also we have a tach adapter. i got into the main loom leading to the injectors and coil packs and there are 4 red wires. is one of them the one? any advice is appreciated! thanks!

I'm not absolutely certain, but I believe you need to tap the crank shaft position sensor. Do you know if the wires from that sensor run in the same trunk of cables as those going to the coil packs?
