Fox will get done! I just ordered one of these.

To replace the cheap ass snow tank and to permanently mount it where the battery used to be. After this is done I will schedule the tune!

In closing, I am going to finish this car or light it on fire.

Or maybe both!

The Mach is a good car, but have little to no willpower and have put over 2k in mods in it in the first 3 months of owning. Just not smart.

Congrats on the new job.... I'd say that if you put $2k into mods on the Mach, you are better off than me... That doesnt even cover how much I spent on my suspension alone... The bad thing is, if I ever sold it, I would be better off removing all the parts 1st & putting it back to stock, otherwise someone would be getting some very expensive mods for free

BTW, what was the verdict on the k member for the mach?

Quick question. Where do you get your meth mix from and how much is it and how long does it last and what kind of power gain did you see?

I understand your excitement, my father was unemployed for 5 months and JUST got a job and starts this week. You should have got a metal overflow tank, you can find some realll nice ones on ebay.

Something like this for 50 bucks, as long as it has a fitting on the bottom and a hose running to the radiator it ca recirculate.

jrichker - I will be systems engineer for BBQ Galore corp HQ in Carlsbad CA

EPIK - I passed on it, the Mach is done for me as it is my DD

mob - I wanted a different tank but both Snow and AIS suggested not getting a metal tank

LaserSVT - I get the meth at a local off road shop, do a 50/50 mix and the tank of meth lasts about a tank of gas with spirted driving. I have no before after numbers with the meth, but the car made 544/498 165's, RPM II, Steeda 19 cam, S trim with 3.3/8 pullies (14 psi) on the stock 93 bottom end.

Coast2CoaStang - Thanks! I have had my Fox for over 13 years.

Thanks but still curious on price. I mean how much does it cost to fill up that tank. I know it should allow for better mileage but wonder what the cost is to fill the system itself. Thanks for letting me know it lasts for a whole tank though. Is that the 2qt tank I see?
Did you feel a SOTP increase with it?

Methanol is around 2 bucks a gallon at a 50/50 mix it is cheap. Yes it is a 2 quart tank as for SOTP improvement without tuning methanol will likely not increase performance, some say without tuning simply injecting methano will hurt performance.

Ok, so $2 a gallon already mixed and you have a 2 qt tank and that tank lasts for one full tank of fuel so basically its and extra $1 to fill it every time you fill your tank. Thats not bad. I am sure MPG has never been a concern when you are building a car as bad ass as yours but I would bet it gets you at least $1 worth better mileage
How does the system work? Does it spray a variable ammount based on boost level or load? Or is it just on/off set at a certain TPS level? Does the system warn you when its low or empty?

Sorry for all the questions but I want another 96-98 Cobra and its gonna be blown. They dont make an intercooler for the only twin screw made for that car so I would have to do a meth injection kit as my intercooler system. I was worried that it would be an expensive endeavor but at $1 for every tank of gas then its way more cost effective then I had thought. I was hopeing the system was variable too but you are really the only person I know with one so I had to ask.

See I can do a dual tune so that should it run out of meth that it would retard the timing and add fuel but would prefer to just run the meth all the time. I know it makes humans faster

I have a meth tank just sitting in the box here :'( Went the windshield wiper resivour route ;p

I bought a galon of it about 5 months ago and i still havnt run out lol... i have it set to come on when it hits a certain PSI. you can change when it comes through maf or boost settings on the side of the box.

About how long it lasts really depends on when you have it come on. Take a look on summit for the kit. its really not that expensive.

It doesnt help my MPG at all, it only comes on at "X" amount of boost. So if you are driving around town and not putting your foot down all the time it just sits there

He can chime in with when his comes on, once i get a new trans im going to start messing around with my set up more.

EDIT: it does start off low and as boost builds it sprays more, also one of those snowmeth kits has a safty that if you run out it retards timing a whole bunch. here is a pic of my piller gauge, on the top there is a green (turns on when the meth is flowing) and a red, the red will start to flicker a tad when it starts getting low.and then turns on solid when you shouldnt get on it anymore ;p

Here is the box, i will get another picture of it in a few minutes. with the dials on the side. i have it mounted on my fuse box ;p
