The *wall* of irony keeping you from ever buying a C5/C6 is insurmountable... I hope you find a Mustang you are happy with someday ;)

Do you find the Camaro difficult to work-on? An automotive show pulled an engine from a 2000 -from the bottom (or should I say, pulled the body off from the top). The front suspension had to come-out with the engine. It seemed to work fine on the show -but they have a lift and can reshoot all the segments that don't go as planned.

Well, Ive gotten used to it. I've pulled the engine from both above and below, and it is certainly faster from below... but it requires more equipment.

The difficult thing to do that most people will encounter is changing the valvesprings with the heads in the car. Finding a tool that works well under the cowl *and* can deal with the dual stiff springs is a bit of a challenge.

Most people who do pull the engine and have the equipment find the "pull the car off the K-member" option very straightforward.

What times does the Camaro run?

I'm hoping low 1:30s ;) ...at PIR

The dyno that MTI relayed to me ( www.motorsporttech.com , who did the shortblock) was only 450rwhp. I have a new set of heads coming next week that should appreciably up that number... hopefully 475 or more. I also have HPTuners on the way. The wideband says 12.2:1, and I know thats 10rwhp less than 13.2:1.
If I can eek out 485 at the rear wheels, the 3300lb car would, in theory, run low low 11s or high 10s. The problem is is that I run 4.10s in the stock GM 7.75" rear end. Any cute drag launches, and it will shatter. It is not a drag car, and the suspension is far from set up for the strip (the 'stang *is* set up for the strip). It is completely set up for the raod course. And Im really hoping to get to spend some good time there this year.
With my goals for the 5.0, the stang should run 11s with 105 less rwhp than it took the Camaro previously.
