I just replaced my turn signal switch in my 67 stang. But I'm having problems with the horn.

I took the contact ring off the steering wheel (under side) and I can't figure out how it goes back together.

There is a piece of plastic (ring shaped) that I know has to fit between the inner and outer ring but I can't figure how it goes.

When I put the steering wheel back on the horn honks when you turn it.

Arg!! :bang:

Any help would be apperciated.

Brass buttons

you mean the contacts that stick out of the turn signal / hazzard switch?

what kind of lube would you use?

Update: Just tried this. Same results.

I think my problem is I don't know which way the insulator is suppose to go. It just started doing this since I changed the Turn signal switch...

Update 2: Well I don't know what I did differently than the first 50 times I put it on, but the problem is gone. :)
