I have a '92 2.3L and I have been having issues with my belts for awhile. They have been squealing almost not stop. I replaced the belts and that helped for a couple of days and then they started squealing again.

When I had it in the shop for some things, they looked at it and replaced the pulley on the belt tension (accessories belt). That worked for a little bit and then they went back to squealing again. Also, I dont know if one belt is the issue or both because it doesn't seem to be a specific pulley that I can tell it is coming from. I have not clue what would be causing it and I don't want to keep spending money guessing each time and be wrong.

Has anybody had the issue before or know of anybody who has. This issue is starting to annoy the heck out of me.

You can take off the AC belt with no issues besides the AC not working. That'll narrow things down a little. Squealing can be from bad bearings on any of the accessories (water pump, alternator, power steering pump, etc) or the idler pulleys. You may want to take some WD40 and spray it on some of the accessory bearings to see if the squealing quiets down at all. Try not to get too much WD40 on the belt though as that could cause it to slip.

Alright, I will try that and see what happens.

As Goland said WD-40 the bearings and see if it is one specific bearing causing the squeal. Another possibility, is that the belt is slipping and causing the noise. This can be from too much drag, caused by one of the accessories, or a bad tensioner not putting on enough tension.
