I traveled from Roswell NM to Albuquerque NM, which is 201 miles. I got to Clines Corners NM which is 140 miles away from Roswell and I was almost on empty!! Is this average for long distance drives? So I filled up and got to Albuquerque, I changed the O2 sensors and the spark plugs, but it seems to still be doing poorly on gas mileage. I have factory injectors and fuel pump, so any Ideas would be greatly appreciated!!

I dunno...what do you drive? What mods do you have? AOD? 5-spd? gears?

304 miles on a 15.4 gallon tank equals 19.7MPG...assuming you ran it completely dry which you didn't. Lets say you used 13.5 gallons... That's 22.5MPG. That's prob better than half the board here. What were you expecting?

He said he only got 140 miles...so if he used 13.5 gallons that would actually be 10.37 miles to the gallon, which assuming he has a basic bolt on 302, would be pretty horrible gas mileage.

Yeah, Thats correct I only got 10.32 miles to the gallon. All I have is some mild edelbrock aluminum heads and a gt-40 intake, t-5 tranny and factory gears!!
