Ite guys im in deep crap now, I tightened up a couple of the rockers, set zero lash and went about a turn past that, they are pedestal mount rockers. And then put some seafoam in it and it started smoking a little, so I drain the oil and put new in with a new filter, and took it for a drive, I start off in first and it takes off pretty well, I can here this slight tick from the rockers, go to second and it falls on its face, to third and the same crap, slow down for a corner and it shuts off, so I start it back up and it starts popping a little and then it smoothes out, I stop and turn around, and then get on it, pulled great and no popping, then I turn the corner and I hear the rattle again, and get on it and can still hear it slightly, then tun into my neighborhood and pull into the garage and listen to it, it sounds like it is rattling from the rockers, it did this before, but this time it comes with popping?? whats up?? and its way louder this time.
any knowledgeable person would be greatly appreciated with help to this stupid car.

Thanks josh

Pedestal mount rockers may or may not require shims to get the right preload on the lifter after torqueing to 19ftlbs. Are you pushrods the right length? Have you checked that out? what did you torque the rocker bolts to? Is your timing ok?

Did you put the seafoam in with the oil, run it in the tank, or suck it up with a vacuum line? If you ran the seafoam through the engine, it takes a little while to burn it all up along with the carbon. This might explain the popping. Also, if you go to summit racing's website you can download the instructions for setting pedestal rockers. http://store.summitracing.com/instructions.asp?File=fms%2Dm%2D6564%2Da351%2Epdf
