Any of you guys have heat problems inside? after about 25 min the whole car is like an oven, is there any sort of heat shield i can get? my whole car is dynomatted, and i have new carpet w/ padding, any advice would be greatly appriciated.

If I'm just sitting there I notice the heat comming through the leg area. My girlfriend has commented on the heat on her feet passenger side. But when I'm driving I don't really notice it. I'm interested as you are though, because Id like to make my passengers feet not catch fire just sitting there :)

I did the front floor and firewall of my car with the thermal dynamat. Of course I did that awhile ago when it wasn't $100 for a 1x1 section. I would highly suggest something along the same lines.

My car is an absolute oven inside. Black carpet, black headliner, black seats and dark grey plastics, black shift knob and black leather steering wheel. My back is soaked with sweat whenever I get out of my car lol... Pretty gross

I dont feel that its the sun that makes it hot i have Black on black on black, so i know its gonna be hot but its the engine that is heating the hell out of my car. maybe when i get the body on the rotisary (sp) this year to paint ill ryno line the tub and where the exhaust goes and maybe even the firewall.

Boy am i glad i didn't go with the turbo set up now that has to be hotter than my combo,

that looks like it would work, does your car get hot though? my buddies cobra be it almost stock never gets hot. Maybe its just the blower and the big heat soaked block?

My car used to get hot ... especially when I had the off-road pipe on .. Once I put the thermal liner in then I noticed a huge difference. Money well spent.

The only thing that got hot when i drove my car was the volcano of heat that came up thru the shifter boot.... i guess the guy that had the car before me took out all the insulation, including the stuff that was under the shifter boot... so the heat from the exhaust would come straight up thru the shifter hole, and seep out of the ashtray door, and the bottom of where the armrest attaches.

Now you all know why the 5.0's came with A/C.

I love my cold A/C...

yeah, i think im gonna put it back in but the Fast has no controller for the AC i was told, i figure something out, it was removed when i got the car but now that i have all this power a loss from the a/c might be nice.
Jrichker if you lived next to me i could probably warrant buying more mustangs you seem to have an answer for everything, and instead of stupid answers yours are always right two :nice: :nice: for you and all your help and knowledge w/o people like you it would be hard for us to figure some of these glitches out..

It's normal for Mustangs. A lot of the heat coes up from the exhaust through the trans tunnel area. It just builds up and soaks right through.

Even the new Mustangs do it. If i am wearing shorts on a warm day in my '03 GT i can feel the head on my leg near the trans tunnel.

Thank god for A/C

My car gets pretty damn hot too but I'm pretty sure my heat is coming through the shifter area. I remember chopping up the rubber shifter boot when I installed my Hurst nearly 10 years ago. I'm sure that rubber is dried up and beat to hell by now. It gets insanely hot in that area and when my windows are down it really vents the heat in. If that doesn't help I'm going to buy the padding.

My car is the exact same way..... although I have a SN95. I have black EVERYTHING inside. I have tint... but it's too light to help. Even with my AC blaring for like 30 minutes down the road.... my legs will stay warm. It's starting to piss me off...

My car is also the same. I was driving it today in 95* heat and it was bad. Black car with dark interior and I was soaked with sweat. I got home and took a nice cold shower. Alot of heat comes from where the feet are on my car espicaly on the passenger side.
