Has anyone read the new Hot Rod magazine? I was looking at the magazine rack at the grocery while the wife was checking out and I saw the cover. It said first 05 mustang in the 12s at 112, No nitrous but you have to know the secret. Has anyone read this? It must have some mods to it.

An assload. They pulled the tranny and fabricated better mounting hardware for the shifter, put like 4.10s or 4.30s in it, different exhaust, drag tires - essentially everything they could do with what's available for the car. The article is useless. I think they even put different brakes on it because they couldn't mount the 15 inch wheels that the drag slicks where on with the rotors that are stock on the 05s..

What you "must know" is about the computer controlled torque managment system that kills the throttle when you try to do long burnouts. There's already a chip, so that's kinda moot as well.
