This thread got brought back.... so I might as well update my situation. My car is currently tore down. After replacing the fuel pump, filter, , regulator, IAC, TPS, cap, rotor, plugs, wires, coil, pulling codes, running a real scanner on the car.... nothing fixed the idling problem which had gotten a LOT worse.
I tore down the intake to find what appeared to be oil in it. Some say this is normal, but I had more than I cared for in there. When removing the lower, it appeared my gaskets were seaping oil on the bottom.
I'm currently waiting for my intake to come back from being bead blasted (crappy powdercoat job removal) and then I'm going to paint it. Hopefully the idling is fixed as well as the surging. Makes sense if it was getting air like a vaccum leak.
