Hot Wire for E Fan

Where have you guys hooked up your electric fans? I am looking under the hood and all the wires I see are small 14 & 16 gauge wire. I am looking for a 10 or 12 gauge wire to tap.

Mine is wired up to a DCC unit and those wires are tapped right into the batery cables.

Mine is connected using a DCC and I have a manual switch from a hot lead when the ignition is on from the fuse box to a relay I put by the coil. That way if for any unforseen reason the DCC isn't doing its job I can manually control it too.
