I recently traded for a 93 2.3 auto but did not get a key. Mainly a parts vehicle so I just hot wired it to test everything. I connected the red with green tracer to the yellow wire then touched the pink and white wire to them and it started right up no problem but when I pull it down in gear you feel a good initial surge bit when you give it gas it really slips and does it in all gears forward and reverse . Of course the guy I traded it from swears that it was working fine when he parked it and I almost believe him so I just wondered if my method of hot wiring may have affected this in some way.
