Picked up a 306 block and I'm excited to see what ill be putting down. I have gt 40 p heads cobra upper and lower tubular intake 75 mm TB and mass air meter bbk longtubes or h pipe and Macs. Msd 6 Al full ign 373 gears and a novi 1000 sc with a 10 pound pulley. Running 45 pound inj. So from going from driving a pretty much stock 5.0 to this I'm hoping my time and money was well spent. is anyone here running the same combo? any suggestions on something else while the motor and trans is out

sounds like a fun combination. i'd guess around 400 rwhp with a stock T5. what transmission will u be running?

Yes stock T-5 I'm waiting for until this goes to do something stronger. Hopefully a T-56

I'm debating on running convertible motor mounts or gt. I heard the motor sits lower with convertible mounts. I'm not really worried about clearence because of the cowl hood. But I think it will look better.

Nice, I thought the 306 had the same amount of power as the 302 just bigger displacement. Reason I ask is because my friends running the same combo on a 302 and he's at 390 rwhp. He's using a vortec with 10 pounds

the vert mounts will lower the motor about 3/4" not really noticeable unless you were looking for it.

I'm trying to avoid a tune in general I got quoted 900 for chip and tune. That's past my limit.
