my friend has a few problem with 2nd gear, but one of the problems is that he can never find it when hes shifting. so his problems are user error.

Yeah, what is up with that? My dad has an 06 GT... he can't fill it up at certain gas stations because the pump always shuts off. Anyone else experience that? For him, it started when he got a tune and started using premium, as if the fuel was foaming up and preventing you from filling it.

The only other issues have been from the dealer installed sunroof leaking constantly.

I think the fuel thing has been discussed on here before. Theres a reason for it but i dont remeber. You can either fill up slowly or turn the nozzle upside down and hold it like i do! 90% of the time, it works everytime Hope that helps

There is a TSB on it as well, but usually running the pump slower or turning the nozzle upside down doesn't cause the pump to shut off.

Otherwise, very solid.

I had a throttle position sensor go bad around 10k miles. I'm at 35k miles now. It was fixed under warranty.

I had cam phasers and the throttle body actuator replaced at around 65k. Had the TSB performed for the gas tank issues and Shaker 1000 as well. Have around 96k on the clock right now and car still runs STRONG!

My 07 has 30,000 miles of hard driving on it and hasnt been back to the dealer. Original brake pads original everything except tires. No squeaks or rattles. Very very solid machine.

A friend owns a Ford dealership and I will take these to him. That doesn't mean they will be fixed. It just means they will be passed along. That is a step.
I am glade to see that there are few complaints, Holds very good for my 09.

I drive like a madman....race at the track (road course) and at 11,000 still no issues. I know it's only 11,000 but with the abuse I've given it...heh. "Dog Years"

I've got over 72K on my 2005 GT. Only problem was a seam under the dash on the passenger side that leaked water. Dealer fixed it. Got new tires at 65K, but still on the orig brake pads and clutch. No squeaks, rattles, or leaks. The interior has held up, the paint looks good (except for some of the road rash a daily driver gets). One of the best commuter cars I've ever owned. After getting a tune I'm able to get 31+ mpg on the freeway if I drive easy.

The gas tank thing is the onyl problem I have.. other than that, 30,xxx miles later and I beat the crap out of her, shes running strong. I think its one of fords best years so far....and i mean soo far !

17K miles and just a couple issues: alternator died a year ago (replaced under warranty) and Shaker 500 door speakers died (need to have our shop fix it still - something to do with the smart junction box they say).

I have made quite a few passes at our local dragstrips (car runs 12.30's @ 111 mph in the 1/4 mile), and it's my daily driver that's driven hard (drifting sideways, tires ablaze, redlined, etc.) often, so it's taken one heckuva beating and still feels/drives like new (only much faster).

Ditto, my 06 GT has > 45k miles and it's been a blast to own. The CEL came on once and the dealer replaced the throttle body under warranty - otherwise problem free.

When I first bought my car brand new there were a couple instance where I couldn't fill my tank but the problem seemed to have resolved itself (or maybe the dealer did the TSP during regular maintenance visits and I just don't know about it - regardless I haven't had a problem with with fillups in over the last 30k miles).

I am at 19,000 and only minor issues. Strut bushings replaced on a TSB and loose door handles replaced. I don't have the smoothest transition from first to second unless I shift really slow. Car is in great shape with a few mods to improve it.

My synchros went bad at 14 K, due to "spirited acceleration", only into 2nd as that's the gear that gets most of the abuse. I have the Hurst & I use it. Replaced under warranty.

My Black 07 GT was a POS with a whining rear end and a huge clunk from the tranny/rear end. They could never fix it so I traded it in. My Grabber Orange 07 GT has never seen a dealer service bay, and it never will.
