Guy at work has a 01/02ish SS 6 speed camaro, from what i can tell it has exhaust (very loud and very mean sounding) . anyway he wants to line them up somtime because everyone else around work has crappy ricers one dude with a 69 camaro that he never drives bla bla.... Anyway My 96 has a CAI and a AT catback thats it.. stock everything else... it will get up to speed pretty fast but.......... I've heard these ss's are somthing to be feared... I wouldnt cry like a baby if i got beat but i wonder how badly i would im thinking id get my ass handed to me... He can drive good so im not going to get an advantage there.....

Should i just throw my other blower OD setup on my t-bird and show up with 25psi on turbo blue? It runs 9.01 1/8th miles on 8psi on 92octane I havent up'd the boost yet because i havent got a maf to run my 42# injectors with... dam mustang its eating into my mod money

Or should i just try it with the stang and if i loose come back and spank him with my 4000lb v6 car? that would deffinately be a humbling experiance for him...

that's affirmative. He's going to serve your 4000lb ride a cold one too. 14 flats arn't going to do anything to a modded SS lS1

Yea sry dude, that 96 GT def doesnt stand a chance against a stock LS1 let a lone a modded one, but hey as long as there is no $ on the line u got nuttin to lose so if i were u id do it ne way just to see how close it was.

Now keep in mind 9.01 1/8ths are with 8psi.....I have 20% more blower OD sitting in my garage i just wanted to make sure the fuel was there so i wouldnt have a terminal melt down... I also have a better blower awaiting transplant as the one i have now should be making about 13psi with its current 5% OD a couple hours of wrenching i can easily make 20psi plus..... Also the current temprature makes it run like a raped ape compared to the 99f i encountered running 9.01s... I've also swapped in a shorter AC condensor so its no longer infront of the intercooler like the gay stock setup..... I can conservitavely say that i will make well over 300hp at the wheels when it all comes together... Last time at the track it gave a few c5 vettes a very bad spanking.....

no $ involved just in fun and games... Already spanked all the ricers so no much to loose... He's about to park it for the winter anyway so it would give me a few months to get my t-bird a bit more up to par..

Kinda what i was thinking but i probably have chit load more tourque! 315 ftlbs stock and with what i have done its alot more than that... alot more..... and it comes into play at very low rpms... Also been thinking about spraying the thing too alot of ppl are have awesome results from 75/100hp kits because of the major cooling factor of nos they are actually picking up more hp than what NA guys are getting out of it...

Of course low 13's are about the best i can hope for without spraying it.... Which is probably not far off of what a stock ss makes.....

I know where i can get 3.73's and DR's very very cheap for the bird.......That with uping the boost and running my 42# injectors might just even up the odds...

It just depends on what he has on his car. I know a guy with an automatic camaro with exhaust which runs a 13.1, and bumps off a 12.5 on only a 50 shot. His car traps at 115-116

He will own the thunder chicken too. SS camaro's are straight line fiends, with some bolt on's and a good tune they can get in the low 12's real quick, now get them in the turns and its another story.

hahahaha, ok, SS is out of our league. I lined up next to an SS and and EVO, the guy in the SS was a badass driver and smoked the EVO, i mean the EVO hung with up, lol all the way up to the end of 1st gear. so my answer to you, yes, the guy in the SS will happily bend you over quickly and put it in slowly.....same with the TBIRD. sorry bro.

A race against a V6 Camaro would be close for you.

I had a '95 Z28 with the LT1 and some bolt-ons, and i spanked a lot of SN95s with that car... Then i bought one.. haha.

Like stated earlier, Camaros are great in straight lines, but Mustangs have way better handling/braking performance.
