That's low, PSC. I have an 04 auto and I get around 280 on a tank in Fort Worth. When I drive down to San Antonio and spend 4 hours on the freeway, I'll get like 320 miles.

Do the fuel filter. It's like a $10 part and takes 20 mins to replace. If that's not the fix, then you're only out $10 and you know for sure your fuel filter is good.

my car is blown and i get between 260-290 a tank depending on how i drive.

on the highway yesterday on a trip to south miami (which i rarely do if at all) speed varied from 70-100mph (100 miles round trip) the needle never came off the full line. got back into to ft laud went back to the office then to the house and circuit city for lunch on average 40mph rowing through th gears up to 4th (typical stop and go traffic) and it quickly dropped to a 1/4 tank.

on the high way shes great,t in the city she sucking up gas like theres no tomorrow

Don't worry about what the fuel hand says, try writing down the mileage and amount of fuel each time you fill up for a couple of weeks and then calculate your mileage. Thats the only way to tell.

WOW!! That's bad. In my '98 I get 325-350 miles per tank or about 20-23 mpg and I'm not easy on the gas. I travel a little less than half my driving on an expressway. When I'm not on the expressway I lean pretty hard on the gas from just about every stop and slow down situation.

I went 26 mpg on a short trip once. Haven't taken it on a long trip yet. Will see what happens when I do.

My 5.0 get's 17-18 round town and 22-23 highway with 3.73's and a B303 cam.

mine with the gears still gets 300 miles per tank. with stockers it got 320-330. my best eva was 376 miles on 14.2 gallons. thats like 26.5 mpg. something is wrong with ur car. i got 23 mpg with sum hwy driving, sum town driving, and 7 1/4 mile passes. service it at next interval and replace all filters(fuel,oil,air). make sure tire pressure is 30-32 psi. sounds dumb, but wrong tire pressure can affect it quite a bit. i dunno what else...

You getting that kind of mileage with all those mods? I'm getting 18mpg no matter how/where I drive unless I run the whole tank on the highway then I barely get 26 with stock gears.

That's what I was going to say. You can't judge your gas mileage based on miles per tank. There is also a huge difference highway vs city. I get around 15 to 16 on the highway and 8 or 9 in town. I keep track of all my fuel purchases and the mileage. I calculate the mpg after every fill-up.

I get around 15-18 mpg city driving and 24-27 hwy. depends on how pissed I am when I hit the open road after fighting Seattle traffic
